One of the best things about Salt Lake is that there are few cities in the world that have all the urban fun and attractions with immediate access to gorgeous mountains. This destination offers a unique blend of outdoor recreation, cultural things to do, and delicious cuisine. Here's a three-day itinerary for your Salt Lake bucket list.

Day 1: Explore the City

Afternoon: Liberty Park

Spend the afternoon at Liberty Park in the middle of the city, enjoying the scenic grounds, paddle boating, and visiting the Tracy Aviary.  

Dinner: Red Iguana

Try some of the best and most popular Mexican cuisine in the city at Red Iguana. Their mole dishes are a local fave.

Day 2: Outdoor Adventures

Morning: Utah Olympic Park

3419 Olympic Parkway, Park City
Drive to the Utah Olympic Park in Park City for a truly unique outdoor experience. Enjoy activities like ziplining, bobsled rides, and exploring Olympic memorabilia.  

Lunch: Market Street Grill Cottonwood

After your Olympic Park adventure, head back to Salt Lake on your way to Big Cottonwood Canyon, and stop at a true Salt Lake classic for lunch. Market Street Grill is a local mainstay and will get you ready for your next adventure.   

Dinner: Takashi

Have dinner at Takashi, one of Salt Lake's top sushi restaurants. Their creative sushi rolls and Japanese dishes are a must-try.

Day 3: Natural Wonders and More

Morning: Antelope Island State Park

Leave early for the drive to Antelope Island State Park in the Great Salt Lake, or alternately, take a guided tour. Explore the island's unique landscape and gorgeous views of the lake, search for wildlife, and visit the Antelope Island Visitor Center.  

Lunch: The Bayou

645 S State Street 
Head back to the city and have a late lunch at The Bayou, known for its extensive beer selection and Cajun cuisine.  

Afternoon: Museum Day

Spend your afternoon exploring one of Salt Lake City's excellent museums. Depending on your interests options include:

Dinner: Eva

For your final dinner in Salt Lake City, dine at Eva, a delicious tapas restaurant offering a variety of small plates for sharing.

Evening: The Depot

Salt Lake’s premier live music venue is downtown, located in the historic Union Pacific Building. Catch a band, have a drink to celebrate, and dance the night away.
